Nicola’s photography career began in New Zealand, shooting features, portraits and covers for national magazines. She has travelled widely, including commissions to document the work of VSA, an international development agency, in places such as Tanzania, East Timor and the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Recently her travel work appeared in Fuji ads in various publications including National Geographic. Since moving to London her work now includes commissions from the film industry - shooting stills and portraits for such films as Enduring Love. A body of personal work titled 'Facade' about the nature of filmmaking has recently been exhibited in Birmingham and South Africa, and has been published in the Nov 05 edition of the art and photography magazine Next Level.
She has had two books published, one includes her travel work, the other a cookbook, with a book of her images shot for Sally Potters film 'Yes' about to be released. She has been selected as one of four international photographers for an exhibition at Trace gallery in 2007, which is then billed to travel internationally. She is a founding partner of Eyebox, a photography agency based in Clerkenwell, London.
